AUTOMATING QUOTING AND MOULD DESIGN

It is a simple 4 step process:

1. You upload the CAD file and/or drawing PDF directly into a new quote in the system.
2. Choose the template that you would like to use (which are editable by you and are set up during the onboarding process).
3. Configure the material and parameters if required.
4. A quote is generated, with a full breakdown of times and processes for each step required to do the project.

For example, for a simple CNC machined part, a breakdown of material required, blocking up and/or programming time, CNC time and finishing time are all output, each with settable hourly rates.

The quote can then be reviewed, with full optional approval flows, assigned to a customer, and then a fully configurable PDF output generated. All data can also be output as a CSV, or connected to your existing ERP system.

The software is designed for any manufacturer who do multiple quotes per month and require a faster way of quoting than through traditional methods such as spreadsheets.

The auto pricing is based on 7 years of real manufacturing data from Plyable, and uses a development and improvement of the core technology used by Plyable. We use a set of proprietary software to fully analyse CAD files and extract data from them that we then use in our pricing logic.

Our pricing logic is a combination of constrained and well trained machine learning models for very specific processes, or deterministic logic where more appropriate, configured and aligned on real manufacturing processes, logic and data.

Yes, Tangible can quote on any custom work that you receive, as long as pricing models or templates exist in the system for it (the software covers most manufacturing processes, contact us for full details if required). Very large or complex parts and projects will have a larger degree of error in the prices and values generated.

It is designed to replace your existing quoting system. During the onboarding period we help you replicate your existing quoting flow in Tangible, and cut out over 90% of time and manual operations (based on existing user data).

You can upload and generate instant pricing and quotes for CAD files in either STEP or IGES format. You can also upload drawing PDFs and our software can fully analyse these to generate pricing and quotes. You can bulk upload files at once to generate quotes for multiple parts at once.

You can quote in any currency required easily in the software, with up-to-date currency conversion rates.

For our early customers, once the system is calibrated to their specifications and setup, accuracy of between 90% and 96% was achieved for standard quotes, when compared with historical quotes.

Yes, the software breaks down quotes into as much detail as you require, showing for example the time required for programming, blocking up and CNC machining and the amount of material required, which then leads to the generated price for each of these steps. Each calculation has a set of parameters that you can see and edit in order to see the setup assumed and instantly generate new prices for different parameter sets.

Yes these can all be set easily in the user interface, with the ability to set defaults that are carried into new quotes.

Yes you can see the full breakdown of the quotes in the simple user interface, and easily override prices before sending the quote to the customer.

In rare cases where the software encounters a geometry or process it doesn’t recognise or is less confident in, it will flag the specific item for a manual review before the quote is able to be sent to the customer.

This detail can be input as parameters into the relevant pricing models, which then use this information to generate more accurate prices.

Yes the software covers all standard manufacturing processes including curing, layup, CNC machining, CNC or laser trimming, mould generation and more.

Full tool costs are generated directly from component CAD utilising Tangible’s patented automated mould generation software. Wastage is viewable and settable as a parameter in relevant pricing models.

Yes there are automated pricing models for lots of secondary operations including inspection, assembly, design, blocking up, CNC programming and more.

Yes, our standard onboarding process looks at your current quoting process and methodology and transfers this information over to your specific instance of Tangible, so that you can create quotes with exactly the same information and level of detail in Tangible.

Yes, all of your data including materials, customers, rates, etc can be input into Tangible, and our onboarding team will help convert your quoting spreadsheets or methodology into templates within Tangible.

We use any historical data that you can provide us with to calibrate the automated pricing to your values before you use the software fully. Any automated price generated can be overridden by you, and the data generated by this is used to improve our core pricing models as required.

Yes the system is fully configurable by you, allowing you to set all core parameters and settings such as material prices, hourly rates, core assumptions and setups, so that the software always remains up to date with how you need to quote.

Our standard onboarding process takes between 2 and 4 weeks, but can be done in a few days depending on the complexity of your current quoting process. It only takes a few minutes to learn how to use the basics of the system and start making quotes, but we allow more time to allow you to build trust in the software before using it for day to day quoting.

Yes, that is a core part of our onboarding process, and we will calibrate the system to any historical data that you provide us with.

Yes it can integrate with existing systems depending on which you are using. This can either be done during onboarding or as a later development project. All data can be easily exported for each quote too.

Yes there is comprehensive complimentary configuration carried out by our team, and training done throughout the onboarding process and for any new users that you may need to use the software.

Different levels of permissions are available, with admins able to access and change everything, approvers able to create and approve quotes, creators only able to create quotes but require approval before sending them to customers, and viewers who can only view the data in the software but not create quotes themselves.

Yes, all customer data is kept fully secure. Tangible uses best-in-class cloud hosting on secure Google Cloud Platform, with Auth0 used for authentication. Each customer company using Tangible has their own isolated tenant, so that there is no possibility of your data being leaked to another user.

Tangible is tested by both regular automated and manual penetration testing by an external third-party, which attempts to find any vulnerabilities in the software.

We use any feedback that you give us to help to improve our core pricing models and user interface. If any pricing models are built specifically for you or from your data, any data that you give us will be used to improve these models, but your data will not be used to train competitors’ proprietary models.

Tangible is sold as a monthly recurring license, paid yearly. The basic subscription starts at £1200/month for a single admin user, with £500/month for extra users beyond this, with large discounts for multiple users.

Yes we give all new users a one month pilot period where we calibrate the system to your unique quoting setup and requirements. This gives you the time to test the software compared to your current quoting workflows, adjust any settings required, get fully trained on the software and move your quoting over to the automated workflows in Tangible.
