Advanced Engineering Show: The UK’s Innovation Hub
Date: 29th and 30th October 2025
Location: NEC, Birmingham, UK
Our team attended Advanced Engineering Show; the UK’s leading annual event for the engineering and manufacturing sectors, held at the NEC, Birmingham. Advanced Engineering is one of our favourite’s as it demonstrates the entire industrial ecosystem connected to high-value manufacturing and supply chain solutions.
The show brings together design, engineering, and manufacturing professionals across sectors like aerospace, automotive, defence, and composites. It’s the ideal place to forge new partnerships, meet Tier 1 suppliers, and connect with over 9,000 decision-makers.
Visitors get a chance to see cutting-edge innovation and a chance to get a first-hand look at the future of engineering, exploring ground breaking inventions and solutions. We particularly liked learning about Elbit’s latest release; a new surveillance radar system (GBSR) for the Royal Artillery.
The event hosted multiple CPD-accredited forums for key learning opportunities with over 180 expert speakers from companies like Williams Grand Prix Technologies, McLaren Applied, and Airbus. Key themes include sustainability, electrification, digital transformation (AI/digitisation), and tackling the skills gap in the industry.
To learn more about Advanced Engineering we recommend visiting their online insights or listening to one of their podcasts

DroneX: Soaring into the Future of Uncrewed Technology
Date: 29th and 30th September 2025
Location: Bordeaux, France
Jamie also attended the DroneX Tradeshow & Conference out in Bordeaux this September. This conference is the UK’s premier annual event for the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and drone industry. DroneX serves as a dynamic hub for professionals serving the commercial, military, future of flight, and emergency services sectors.
DroneX offers a real advanced technology showcase that demonstrates the latest technology, components, accessories, and services. Visitors are able to see ground breaking innovations from autonomous agricultural drones and high-fidelity 3D scanning solutions to impressive biomimicry designs like the “Silent Flyer.”
Segmented to focus on crucial application areas including Commercial, Emergency Services, Public safety, Coast guard operations, Military & Defence, Security, Surveillance, Counter-drone technologies and Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
A critical part of the conference is the extensive program of over 150 CPD-accredited seminars and keynote sessions. Experts from regulatory bodies like the CAA and industry leaders present on pivotal topics such as how to safely integrate a growing number of drones into shared airspace, how AI plays a part in shaping the next generation drone, as well as how businesses can continue to ensure that they’re working towards net-zero manufacturing and end of life initiatives.
Advanced Engineering and DroneX will be events we continue to be present because they offer us the ability to forge new partnerships, gain critical insights and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving world of autonomous
